CES 2026: Roborock takes a leap with new climbing robot vacuum, updates Saros line
Roborock introduced a new stair-climbing robot vacuum, the Saros 20 and Saros 20 Sonic, at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

Roborock claims the Saros Rover is the market’s first robot vacuum to use a two-wheel, legged architecture, with legs that move independently.
Designed for multistory households, the Saros Rover can perform small jumps, sharp turns, and sudden stops using a combination of advanced motion sensors, 3D spatial technology, and artificial intelligence algorithms.
Live demonstrations of the Saros Rover showed the robot vacuum climbing a set of deep stairs and rolling down a ramp at the top. Attendees were told the Saros Rover is still in active development and will be released at a future date.

The robot vacuum leader also introduced several updates to its Saros line.
The Saros 20 is a spec update to the popular Saros 10R dual spinning mop pad model. The Saros 20 features an updated chassis-lift system that enables the unit to cross a single threshold of up to 1.77 inches or a double-layer threshold of 1.77 inches and 1.57 inches. Additionally, the Saros 20 can now recognize up to 201 objects via its updated solid-state StarSight system.
The Saros 20 Sonic, an update to Roborock’s flagship vibrating mop pad model, was also introduced. The Saros 20 Sonic includes an extendable sonic mop pad that scrubs up to 4,000 times per minute. The extendable pad now moves to allow the unit to clean closer to edges and corners.
Both the Saros 20 and Saros 20 Sonic feature 35,000 Pa of suction power and include a redesigned docking station capable of 212 degrees Fahrenheit hot-water washing.
Roborock expects to launch both models by April.
